Privacy Policy

Last updated July 6, 2026

MosquitoZone is designed to need as little of your data as possible. You can use the entire site, and check the mosquito forecast for any U.S. town, without an account and without giving us anything.

What we collect

  • Your email address, only if you join the app waitlist. It's stored and processed by our email provider, Kit (ConvertKit), so we can email you once when the app launches.
  • Quote-request details, only if you ask for a mosquito-control quote: your name, contact info (email or phone), town, and anything you tell us about your yard. We collect these for one purpose: to connect you with a local mosquito-control company.
  • Basic technical logs. Our host, Vercel, records standard request data (such as IP address and browser type) to operate and secure the site. We don't use this to identify you.

How quote requests are shared

When you submit a quote request, we pass your details to a local mosquito-control company so they can contact you by phone, text, or email about your request and send you a quote. Where we don't have a direct relationship with a provider in your area, we may pass your request through a lead-matching partner network that connects it to a licensed local company. Either way, the purpose is the same and it is the only sharing we do: your information goes to the provider who quotes you, and to the partner that matches you with them, never to advertisers or unrelated lists.

Passing a quote request to a partner network may count as a "sale" of personal information under some state privacy laws. If you'd rather we not do that, or want your details deleted, write to hello@mosquitozone.app. Beyond quote matching, we do not sell your data, run advertising, or set advertising or tracking cookies.

Who processes it

  • Kit (ConvertKit): stores waitlist emails and sends the launch notification.
  • Google (Sheets and Apps Script): stores quote-request details and sends us the notification when one comes in.
  • Vercel: hosts the site and keeps operational logs.
  • ActiveProspect (TrustedForm): independently documents your consent when you submit a quote request, recording the form session, your IP address, and browser type as proof you asked to be contacted.
  • Local service providers and lead-matching partners: the mosquito-control company we match to your quote request, and any partner network used to make that match, receive your details so a local pro can quote you.

The public data sources we cite (CDC, MA DPH, Open-Meteo, iNaturalist, MassGIS, U.S. Census) are read-only. We take information from them; we never send them anything about you.

Your choices

  • Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe.
  • You can ask us to show or delete the data we hold about you (your waitlist email or quote-request details) by writing to hello@mosquitozone.app. If a provider has already received your quote request, contact them directly to stop follow-ups, or ask us and we'll pass it along.

Children

MosquitoZone isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
